Balance Beyond Borders

As the VAGEAD association, we aim to strengthen young people's coping skills with increasing stress, anxiety and depression. Especially these challenges brought by modern life threaten the mental and physical health of young people. With our project, we want to help participants lead a more balanced life by providing them with stress management skills through holistic methods such as yoga and meditation. These practices will allow young people to get to know themselves better, increase their inner awareness and cope with emotional challenges more effectively.

VAGEAD is a youth NGO that always gives young people space to try new things about youth issues. While researching on this topic, VAGEAD youth aimed to minimise the stress factor, which is one of the biggest causes of anxiety and depression, and to mitigate its impact on young people's lives. Our young people decided to act together with their young peers across Europe. Our main goal in the project is to promote respect for different lifestyles, worldviews and values by increasing intercultural dialogue of young people, as well as to give young people different perspectives, strengthen tolerance and empathy through meditation and yoga. Not only do we want to raise awareness of mental health, but we also want to ensure that environmental awareness is created in the activities or trips to be made, because the use of sustainable resources is very important for our world. We will frequently emphasise the importance of natural resources, nature and recycling.
