Youth in Van Seek “Balance Beyond Borders”

Young people from different European countries will gather in Van between 22 and 30 September 2025 for an unforgettable experience. Coordinated by the VAGEAD Association, the ‘Balance Beyond Borders (3B)’ project is being carried out under the Erasmus+ programme and aims to empower young people both individually and socially.

A total of 30 young people from Turkey, Spain, Albania and Georgia are participating in the project. Over the course of a week, participants will discover their inner balance and have the opportunity to forge strong bonds with young people from different cultures through various workshops, cultural exchanges and nature-based activities.

Throughout the programme, activities such as yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, mindfulness sessions, creative drama and cultural evenings will be organised. Thus, young people will learn methods of coping with stress while also gaining the opportunity to introduce their own cultures and experience other cultures.

‘Balance Beyond Borders’ is not only focused on individual development; it also centres on themes of social awareness, equality, environmental sensitivity and active citizenship. Throughout the project, participants will take part in workshops on environmental awareness, hold discussions on gender equality and experience developing a common language with young people from different social backgrounds.

At the end of the project, the young people aim to create a multiplier effect by taking what they have learned back to their own communities. Each participant will share their experiences with young people in their city and use social media and local platforms to spread the project's message to wider audiences.

The VAGEAD Association emphasises that ‘Balance Beyond Borders’ is not just a youth exchange, but also a bridge that will enable young people to look to the future with hope. This meeting will contribute to young people becoming more conscious, supportive and sensitive individuals, both on an individual and societal level.
