Amber Bridges Project Gathers VET Teachers in Breda for Inclusive Training

VAGEAD team members joined an international training in Breda, Netherlands, hosted by EUpro within the scope of the Amber Bridges project. The program focused on vocational rehabilitation for learners with disabilities, gathering vocational education professionals from Türkiye Latvia, and the Netherlands.

Between 22–27 July 2024, representatives of Van Gençlik Eğitim Akademisi Derneği (VAGEAD) participated in an international training event held in Breda, Netherlands, as part of the Amber Bridges Erasmus+ Partnership Project in the field of vocational education. The training was hosted by EUpro (Netherlands) and brought together professionals and teachers from SIVA (Latvia) and VAGEAD (Türkiye).

This 5-day training was specifically designed to build the capacity of teachers and trainers working with students who have disabilities or functional disorders. Representing VAGEAD, five vocational education professionals actively took part in sessions focusing on:

  • Vocational Rehabilitation Fundamentals
  • Goal Setting Based on Individual Assessments
  • Advanced Digital Tools for Vocational Training
  • Tailored Hands-On Training Workshops (by VAGEAD)
  • Soft Skills and Personal Development
  • Digital Tools for Inclusive Vocational Education

Participants engaged in interactive workshops, shared best practices, and tested digital tools that can enhance inclusive education environments. VAGEAD contributed especially to the hands-on training workshops, providing insights from its youth-focused curriculum adapted for learners with different needs.
