Our project named "Our Ancestors Meets with the Qur'an" was accepted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey.

The project "Our Ancestors Meets with the Qur'an" is an opportunity for our young people living in Van to realize themselves through various activities that will be held every month in addition to the Qur'an education, the History of the Prophets and Islamic Ethics courses voluntarily to our elderly people over the age of 65; On the other hand, it is our duty of loyalty that shows that we are always with them.

Within  our project, our young volunteers will give lesson to the old people who are over 65 during 6 months on subjects such as Reading the Qur'an, Life of the Prophets and Islamic Ethics. Via our project, we will bring together our young people in Van with elder people over 65; Volunteering awareness will begin to settle in our local young people. Within the scope of our project, we aim for the active participation of both our young and old people in social life by organizing conversations, seminars, panels, excursions and competitions. In addition, we aim to create areas for self-realization by giving our young people both organizational responsibility and tasks such as organizing training programs. In this context, our young people, who have the opportunity to realize themselves at the end of our project, will be able to engage in new volunteering activities by using their potential to the fullest. Through our project, the number of young people engaged in volunteer work in Van will also increase gradually. Thanks to the activities of teaching elderly individuals, the capacity of our young people to work in harmony with each other, who serve a common purpose together with their peers, will increase. Since all our activities such as lecturing and organizing events will emerge as a result of brainstorming with our young volunteers, we will support the young people to produce innovative ideas in this field, as in every field. Our elders, who come together to take lessons at least three times a week, will change their perspectives on life with the pleasure of being together with their peers, have new occupations and will feel stronger in the spiritual sense. Our young people will be guests at the homes of our elderly people who cannot attend the classes in our association due to their physical weakness and they will apply the curriculum created for them in their homes. Thus, this special attention and care to our elderly people who meet new people outside of their daily routines will increase their morale and make them feel emotionally strong. We aim to contribute to the Public-NGO cooperation by carrying out the activities of our project not only as VAGEAD, but also with the Non-Governmental Organizations and Public Institutions in Van. “Our Ancestors Meets with the Qur'an “project will take its place in our history as a sign of the perfect harmony that occurs when our young and old people come together.
