VAGEAD, at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, hosted the project "Would You Mind Set?", which was granted by the Turkish National Agency. He attended the opening ceremony of the project.
“Would You Mind Set?” held at Erdoğan Büyükkasap Congress and Culture Center. University Rector Prof. attended the opening meeting. Dr. Akın Levent, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. A. Ercan Ekinci, Prof. Dr. Adem Başıbüyük and Prof. Dr. Çağrı Çırak, General Secretary Assoc. Dr. M. Cihat Özgenel, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Mücahit Kağan, Provincial Director of National Education Hacı Ömer Kartal, university academicians, as well as many academicians and students from Spain, Finland, Italy, Hacettepe University and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University attended.
The project coordinator who made the opening speech was Assoc. Prof., Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education. Dr. Dilek İlhan Beyaztaş gave information to the participants about the project. “Would You Mind Set?” Stating that the focus of the project is on secondary school students with low success levels in the context of Science, Beyaztaş said, “With this project, Science teachers and students working in disadvantaged and low-achieving schools will be taught that intelligence can be developed with the right approaches by organizing the necessary training. It is aimed to increase students' success in Science courses through experimental studies. "In addition, by eliminating misperceptions about intelligence and success, it will be revealed how to create inclusive teaching environments that can struggle without giving up when faced with difficulties, focus on problem-solving skills, and allow learners to discover their own learning processes and study skills."

Within the scope of the project, an integrated program for the Science course will be developed, and a teacher handbook and student workbook will be prepared to support the developed program. All processes within the scope of the project will be used to increase teachers' and students' awareness and tendencies towards growth mindset. At the same time, a digital platform will be created to provide access to all materials and additional resources within the scope of the project. This platform will include informative videos, animations, event suggestions and events in two languages, Turkish and English.
